Winter Sunlight

Lovely evocative autumn scene. I just want to walk down that path with my dogs skipping ahead. Love your use of colour.

The original looks better than the photo? In that case, we're all doomed - this is just about a perfect watercolour - I feel suddenly inadequate!

A lot have thought has gone into this painting as well as your others and planning is most important for watercolor,s, you have truly captured the feeling of what you set out to do! Love the ressesion and the sunlight floating over the track and the shadow,s of the branches on the tree trunk,s as they follow the shapes of the tree trunk,s. A miracle: despite the meticulous planning, it's still spontaneous. The green beech bark is perfection - as is all of it. Makes me want to chuck in the towel...

Just wanted to add some comments on a few of your paintings - this simple subject has turned into something really special in your hands. The colours are really effective - in particular the blue shadow colour.
