I took the source photo for this morning's painting Storm Over The Wirral (oil on canvas board) when I went on a Tenbury Art Club outing to Liverpool in July 2018. In the afternoon we visited Anthony Gormley's "Another Place" installation - hundreds of naked iron men gazing out to sea along several miles of the Mersey foreshore. My Dad was born at Seaforth - so he would have looked at this view many times when he was growing up.
