Thank you all. Although Stokesay Castle is really ancient and very wonky, the building on the right is a bit too wonky, Juris - although I think it adds to the atmosphere.

Painted en plein air this morning, soft pastel and pastel pencil on grey mountboard. It was raining gently - which makes pastel work particularly difficult. I made a sort of "tent" out of my mad scientist painting overall to try and keep the surface dry, so I hope the fight was worth it.
