Thank you all. Some of the other artists in the Friday Group gave me 10 out of 10 for persevering when one or two of them gave up and retired to the cafe for a cuppa!

Thank you all. Although Stokesay Castle is really ancient and very wonky, the building on the right is a bit too wonky, Juris - although I think it adds to the atmosphere.

Painted en plein air this morning, soft pastel and pastel pencil on grey mountboard. It was raining gently - which makes pastel work particularly difficult. I made a sort of "tent" out of my mad scientist painting overall to try and keep the surface dry, so I hope the fight was worth it.
