Super strong painting Barry, the trees really stand out against the sky and snowy landscape. Interesting technique using a credit card, must give it a try.

This looks good. Yes, an interesting technique, I like the addition of the yellow for a little warmth.

Join the card club Barry, I do lots of them now. This is a smashing piece.

The technique works well for making strong paintings - but as with many of these techniques, I bet you could do it just as well with a brush, or a painting knife - or a broken bit of dowelling..... It's the skill in the hand holding the implement that matters. But whatever my doubts about techniques - this works well, and is so eye-catching in thumbnail that one's compelled to click on it.

A midwinter scene close to my house. The sky was painted with brush; the rest of it was mainly done by applying paint to the edge of an old credit card, a technique I have been using for a while now as it usually leads to some unpredictable but enjoyable effects. In doing this I use paint straight from the tube and never add water. Fast-drying acrylic is just the perfect medium for this. On 16" square mdf board.
