Bay MacNeil, Ardnamurchan

Beautiful sense of light and space. (I visited the point for the geology a few years back and vowed never to drive that road again!)

Lovely well balanced painting with a beautiful feeling of peace.

Lovely painting, had to look this one up Barry, sounds lovely and remote

Beautifully painted with wonderful light!

I think, though may of course be wrong, that you've used a different blue for the sky and sea here: there are those who tell us you should never do that; I've never agreed with them, though there is some sense in it, but if you did use a different blue - it's worked. So has your decision to keep the immediate foreground so simple, ensuring that the eye goes to the headland first - which is just where it should go.

Barry thas lovely

Agree with Martin, like this one a lot Barry

Beautiful work.

Oh to be there! This is a lovely composition leading your eye towards the distant headland, around the view and back to the foreground. I really like the light and lack of complication.

No where nicer than Scotland when the sun shines. A beautiful painting of a beautiful place.

Came across this wonderful beach, during a few days' stay in September near the western tip of the remote Ardnamurchan peninsula. Weather was unusually calm and sunny. Oil painting on 3mm MDF board, 14" x 24".
