Is a really good painting and the limited pallet is great.

Thank you Heather and Paul, it’s interesting as it demonstrates to me how I can tighten up on paintings when my investment is higher. I didn’t even think about the outcome, did it in double quick time with a small squirrel mop letting paint mix on the paper as I progressed and hey presto a lovely loose little watercolour.

I came across a painting that I had done many years ago on a cheap paper that I found didn’t work very well with watercolour. Being naturally inquisitive I wondered if the skills I have obtained in the passing years would improve the results I could achieve. I found a Small space on the paper and using the original work as a guide quickly produced this image. It was done very quickly with a limited palette and I think the result is very pleasing.
