Nice to see another version off this scene, works well with or without snow. I did wonder about the closed gate in the snow version but there is a gap for the eye yo go through.

Thank you Alicia and Diana, I used a method I picked up from Herman Pekel to put strong colour in the first wash and the use your darks to create the effect of light.

Decided to play around with the same subject I painted yesterday but make it less misty, warmer and change the gate opening so as to lead the viewer towards the cottages.
