Yes Barry great composition dramatic light and a nice painting. Herman is fantastic.

So effective, I really like it.

Can I ask what paper you used? I'm never quite sure what to buy and your painting works so well.

Wonderful painting Barry, and you have a great master.

Lovely work Barry.

Yes you lucky man Herman is one of my heroes a master artist. Has he anointed you or your painting with a Splatter of water yet so envious and he like Alvaro and Joseph are alive with energy. Another great under your belt Barry

Hope not too much change Barry, as I like your style of painting. This is lovely.

Super!

Beautiful work, Barry.

Love the difference in your approach Barry and your enjoyment shows.

I love the darkness of the foreground against the beautiful light and airy sky!

Thank you Janet, this was on Saunders Waterford 140 high white rough. My advice on paper is to try a few different ones and see which suits your style, I think you can get trial packs from some online suppliers.

Thanks to Dennis, Cesare and Jim, he is really making me think about design and composition.

Thank you Dennis, I have been fully anointed in the ways of splatter and spitting!

Thank you Carole, I hope any changes will enhance my style rather than change it.

Thank you Ibolya, Linda and Fiona, I am enjoying my time here with Herman.

Thank you Satu but I can't take too much credit as it's Hermans design.

Great piece of work Barry - I greatly admire it

Thank you Chas l would like to take all the credit but most of this is Herman.

Another painted on the course with Herman Pekel at Dedham Hall. I would never have tried this myself but with help and inspiration from the great man I am learning new skills and techniques. His first washes are very strong which produces very powerful paintings. It will be very interesting to see how my style might change after the course!!
