Beautiful;)

A cracking sky Barry and I think the foreground reeds balance the work well and handled just right and lovely mill

Thank you Bernadetta, Margaret and Dennis, maybe I will have to rethink the reeds.

Lovely stuff Barry.

Great sky Barry, and I like how your reeds pierce up into it.

A lovely painting Barry

Wonderful watercolour, Barry, I'm looking forward the oil.

Beautifully painted, Barry.

I like this very much, the palette and the composition Barry.

Fab-u-lous! Love it Barry, especially the pallet. I would be tempted to leave the reeds out, or make them less dense...just a few flicks of the brush not too high. Hope you don't mind me saying Barry.

Thanks to everyone for their comments, the view on the reeds seems to be mixed, therefore the sensible option seems to be leave them out and then make an assessment.

I think the reeds achieve a balance to the right mid-distance. Does the focal point need to be slightly darker tonally on the shadow side? Great sky, and VERY Norfolk Broads.

Thanks Sean I like your thoughts on the focal point, it's good to have the opinions of others and Fiona I don't mind people making suggestions as I find I can become blind to the obvious at times.

Lovely work Barry, I can see a little of the Edward Seago influence here, love the light piercing through the clouds.

Did this in preparation for a larger painting maybe in oils. Painted on Saunders Waterford quarter imperial rough. Think I might dispense with the reeds in any future painting even though they appear in my source material.
