I like the way the two cars draw the eye in. I like for other reasons too!.

Super ink drawing Barry, the middle area is quite dark but then it would be with the shadows.

Lovely Painting!! I used to work in Charlotte street - opposite the church that you have so well painted - in Queen Anne House (used to be the Masonic Hall) next to the registry office. Great to see it again as I never get to visit these days. Thank You

The warm Bath stone colours against the cooler grays make a great picture. Skillful control of the perspective as well -great work.

I went out early evening a few weeks ago and did some sketching and took a few photos. I really liked the way the evening sun caught the buildings and foliage in contrast to the dark shadows cast across the road from the left hand buildings. I decided to return to my ink and wash which allowed me get enough of the architectural detail in before adding my paint. I had to use a little white gouache to reclaim some highlight on the cars and figures.
