Miners Cottage
I was recently asked to paint a commission of a friends cottage. The cottage has had an extension and other modifications but he wanted a painting of a period when it was a working miners cottage. It was a difficult challenge and after several preliminary sketches I chose this view I thought the use of ink and wash would help enhance the impression of texture on the cottage.
