This certainly is a good start, Barry. Did you do any pencil drawing first?

Thank you Lewis it was the similar pose that led me to post them together as though they have both be alerted by the same movement or sound.

Thank you Mia I did use pencil first but only to form the basic shapes and didn’t include much detail. The more I do the more I can see the potential of loose fresh brushstrokes to produce a more dynamic form.

Love the title and pose of these two Barry, the patches of white you leave give a sense of light and movement. Would make great gifts.

On that point I would like to mention Jake Winkle who gave me a start and his work does influence what I am doing. On the question of the title I was going to call it Attention Eyes Right.

This a quarter imperial sheet on which I am practicing small studies of animals. I am thinking that once framed they would make a lovely small gift. I still have some way to go but a good start.
