Often these turn out best Sandra, this is quite calming.

And its turned out rather good Sandra, some superb shapes and colours.

Lovely sense of place in this, Sandra!

That's why I love painting abstracts - no preconceptions about the outcome and so much more exciting than painting a definitive subject. This one's a real beauty.

Thank-you very much Carole, Alan, Thalia and Michael for your very encouraging comments.

I like the colours you have used, it has a very peaceful and calming effect 😀

Love it, the title is just how I see it Sandra nice one.☺️

Beautiful imaginative painting Sandra a total success

It’s transformed into a beauty Sandra!

It really does look peaceful Sandra, I like the sense of distance.

Linda, Lesley, Dennis, Fiona, Margaret, thank-you very much for your lovely comments.

You obviously have a calm organised head then! Seriously this is very good and pleasing to look at Sandra. Maybe it’s a good challenge to pull something from the imagination rather than struggling with an actual landscape or photo. Good work!

Thank-you very much Tessa for such a nice comment. Afraid that my head though is usually anything but organised! As a mainly abstract painter I usually do have to pull something from imagination, although sometimes I do have a photograph or picture as a starting point. I've never struggled with an actual landscape, but do what I call semi-abstract landscapes.

Love the colour in this and its wonderful sense of peace! peace & love; God bless, Andy x

Thank-you very much Andrew.

Acrylic on canvas, 18x14 inches. This one just evolved out of my head as I painted, I had no clear idea what it would become when I started.

About the Artist
Sandra Kennedy

I became hooked on painting when I joined an evening class on painting "Abstracts in Acrylic" some years ago. Now retired, I was painting fairly regularly until the last couple of years when I've had a "creative drought". This year I intend to work on mainly abstract landscapes.
