Lovely old door and those colours are gorgeous!

A claustral door perhaps? A magical accumulation of redundant ironmongery which your unerring eye has spied and immortalised. Lovely Avie.

Amazing colours and a rustic feel and look. Well done! I love the other doorways as well. All excellant!

Two of my favourite colour combinations, super work!

Fantastic watercolour, love the colours

So you. Another gem.

All these gorgeous doors and I would love to see what is behind them all. That blue is gorgeous - It's not cobalt, is it? So which blue do you use? The rusty bits of door furniture are super and add to the general high standard of the painting.

Really excellent Avril as are all your old doors, is there a secret garden behind it?

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments which mean a lot to me. Yes Thea, it's Cobalt blue with a touch of Antwerp blue. The blue on the fittings is Manganese. And yes Christine there is a garden behind this door which is very big and weathered.

Peeling paint, worn out patches, bits mended with rusty iron plates and nails. Old door opened hundreds of times, beaten by sun and rain and still there for passers by to admire. Beautiful and very skilful work Avril!

A gorgeous palette, Avril! It's amazing how delightful a piece of distressed wood and some rusty bits and bobs can look! Well done on an excellent piece!

Thank you both Satu and Seok.

All been said really !!

This is such a clever watercolour - love it
