I’m fascinated by your technique and skill in creating these pictures. So clever

Lovely boy, and great sunhat. You are just so skillful with these Barbara.

Gosh Barbara this is amazing work.

Oh boy is this good or what! Gorgeous picture of a gorgeous boy. Lke Diana I'm intrigued by your superb skill and materials.

Hello Diana, Sandra, Margaret and Thalia, thank you so so much for your wonderful comments. I'm delighted you like this picture as I have really enjoyed creating it. I have a huge range of fabrics which I delve in to to find just the right colour or mark to express what I want to say. Shadows are usually from chiffon or organza and I also use a lot of lace and patchwork cotton. Silk frays beautifully so gives more of a watercolour effect and tweedy bits come in handy as well as sparkly pieces to introduce light in to the work. I sew with a grey thread -just running stitches-which become part of the shadows (even the knots don't seem to show). Thank you again for such fantastic feedback and kind regards to you all, Barbara
