Poignant reminder for today.

A stunner Anthony, seriously impressed

As close to a masterpiece as I've seen on here.

Absolutely fabulous painting Anthony, a wonderful tribute to the Pals.

Always heart rending to see any depiction of 'lions led by donkeys,' wonderful painting Anthony.

Beautifully painted, the detailing is excellent.

A very dynamic painting, Anthony. A sense of presence, and of how it was then, there, on that day. A valuable reminder indeed, thank you.

This is a fantastic painting, It really does capture a moment. Incredible.

Superb, Anthony. More than a century ago...it's hard to take that in sometimes.

This one stopped me in my tracks. What a strong painting.

Thank you all for your kind comments.

Superb work Anthony, I watched the remembrance service on tv earlier, both very moving.

Wow! and Wow! again and again! Amazing and heartfelt painting.

Magnificent painting Anthony ,you have captured the moment in military history masterly I lost a paternal grandfather ,who i never knew at the Battle of Epehey on 18 September 1918. just 4 weeks before the armistice my paternal Grandmother died 18 months after. My mother was adopted by her Aunt, so neither of us ever got to meet them know them . the tragedy of war for what?. A brilliant representation of what it would it would have been like, well done Sir
