Three atmospheric paintings, Annie, each one having its own, individual merit. I note that you use "mixed media" but what about the application - do you use brush and knife or...........what? I will keep a look out for more!

Thank you for your comments Lionel, I'm glad you like the paintings. I always use a combination of large flat brushes and a palette knife, and find these tools usually achieve the results I want, i.e. heavy texture. I don't use gel mediums but prefer to apply thick paint straight from the pot. I also mix fine sand (builders!) with gesso for a very nice textured paste which, when dry and painted over with a thin wash, is very effective. Regards, Annie
