This is superb, Annie. I love the texture, the palette and the way you apply the paint, all of which contributes to the atmosphere you create. I really admire your work.

So many compliments on this painting - many thanks! I work very quickly to begin with, then slow down as the painting progresses particularly those final touches, i.e. palette knife work on the water . It was quite difficult to know when to stop with regard to the white reflections across the water. I think part of the reason for it's success is that all areas of the painting are consistent and 'active' - and has been mentioned, the colours work well together. I am not a colour theorist at all so that is entirely down to experience and a lot of luck! Annie
