I love the design element of your painting Annie

Terrific work Annie, and if that is genuine old Meissen it will have value and please make sure it's safe up on that shelf. (Many years ago I was in the antique trade in a small way and love porcelein. I would actually have guessed wrongly at Delft or Coppenhagen)). Very good and detailed rendition of it all.

A lovely painting Annie. My word you did have a bargain finding this beautiful plate!

Thank you all for the positive comments. Jim, I very rarely dust so it's about the safest place in the house !!!!! I know it's Meissen because I took it on Antique's Roadshow and met Lars Tharpe (that was a priviledge). Thought I would leave it to a museum if my children don't want it. I love the insect designs of that time. Jim, what you can't see is the crossed swords mark on the back.

I really love this plate, I feel I own a part of history by having this (a chance find at a boot fair). I also really love the wooden carved shelf which I keep it on (a lucky find at an antiques fair). I have plain walls in my small cottage so have made up the wallpaper.
