Superb!

Thank you Ruth. It was fun to do ....but quite a challenge as well. I love portraiture and figurative artwork and next time I might be brave and progress to painting in a background as well!

Stunning portrait Anne

Fantastic portrait, and great colours.

Absolutely beautiful. Love the colors and the superb rendition of detail.

What a beautiful picture this is and so worthy a cause. I hope you sell loads and make a lot of money for the charity.

What a gift that you have. It is perfect.

Thank you for all the kinds comments. Painting a portrait is quite a challenge but it is something I believe that most artists can learn to do, each in their different styles. In my case, I have an interest in anatomy and I trained as a medical artist which meant that I really had to work hard to develop my drawing skills to get through the course! Colour is something I am exploring still....in this case it worked, in other paintings I might struggle to get the exact tone I am looking for so I make endless colour notes to keep track of what I use.

Beautiful work, lovely skin tones and lighting
