Wonderful atmosphere great use of colour and tone. Did you use soft or hard pastel and on what paper.

Hi David Thank you! I love this area of Scotland and the evening this photo was taken was a beautiful (rare) warm summer one about 10 years ago! I use soft pastels and this painting is on Matador abrasive P500 (blue) paper from Art Spectrum. Anna

Hi Anna This painting has just flashed on the screen. I have been to Applecross peninsular, in a motorhome , with the engine burning out travelling up hill, very scary. But the view was spectacular, I never saw it night, but like your sunset version of it. Debbie

Hi Patsy, Well, not many people live on Applecross, Scotland, its a very wild but lovely place and until 20 years or so ago there were no roads so you had to get a boat to other side I think! thank you for your lovely comments. Anna
