What a lovely painting. Looks like pirates or something. Very atmospheric. Great! I have just started to experiment with soft pastels and they feel so nice to use. Perhaps one day I will paint a lovely picture like this!!!

Hi, you really do seem to know what you are doing with pastels - I love both paintings - the light is particularly good and the reflections excellent. Is this the same paper as before?

Hi Judith, thank you! it was painted on abrasive (glasspaper) paper I think 400 grade, blue, which is very forgiving and you can pile on the pastel far more than on ordinary pastel paper. It is the same paper used as for "Applecross". All the best Anna
