'From Rags to Riches' by Angela Harrison
A typical scene from a Work-house setting in early 1900's. The Rag and Bone man clopping over the cobbled stone lane next to the Work-house. where the children are eagerly waiting for some second hand clothes. I imagined these characters and did individual sketches on different strips of paper, then combined the different images to create a Work-house scene. Started writing a chronological set of essays for a period in late 1800"s early 1900's and so may illustrate in pencil for each chapter.
