"The Shaggy Sheep"

Comments

I like this a lot Angela, it's full of charm and I also like the colours.

Thank you so much Dennis and Diane, It was one of my first paintings of sheep as we visited The Lake District and felt inspired at the time! I do enjoy painting with Acrylic it seems to give a better impasto effect somehow, maybe wishful thinking though!

Wonderful textures Angela, like the colours too.

Good use of acrylic, Angela, to portray texture - nicely done...

Thank you Fiona, these shaggy sheep always inspire as they pose so well, and stand gazing at you to observe! Think in the northern regions we see more of them wandering about, they evoke passion to paint!

Thank you Jan, he seemed to just appear from nowhere but engaged me to paint, my first impasto ever!

Thank you Carole, Glad he appeals, my first shaggy sheep ever!

Love it!

Thank you Shirley, It was one of the first acrylic paintings of these Herdwick sheep, I find them fascinating to watch as they stand and pose beautifully!

Painted in acrylic to show the texture of the wool and horns of this shaggy sheep!
