'Pippin' still-life pencil drawing

Comments

Lovely - how unusual!!

It's been drawn with a 2B pencil and charcoal for the eye and under its chin! I placed him on my pencil box and just remembered the days when I hand knitted him for my grandaughter who is now 14yrs! We called him Pippin and so he is a kind of reminder of her guinea pig who got away and I said a prayer for Pippin and then the next day neighbours spotted him on the grass verge! My grandaughter was so feeling blessed that prayers were answered and Pippin was rescued! Now Pippin is my mascot in my studio! The wool I knitted him in is pure and still can feel the oil after all that time!

Really like Pippin Angela!

A lovely little drawing Angela!

Pippin is a woollen guinea pig soft toy. I knitted this guinea pig for my granddaughter about ten years ago when they had guinea pigs in their back garden. Sketched with a 2B pencil and wanted to create soft edges and texture so needed to darken the surrounds and rub out the line to produce soft edges...never realised how difficult it is to lift the pigment from the darker edge,,any suggestions welcome!
