Why thankyou David, Heather, and Sarah. This Blackbird flew over quite by chance while we were exploring the volcanic rocks along the east coast one day. It was the friendliest blackbird I have ever known! It posed and seemed to know somehow we were visitors as it perched on the bolus then flew over strutting about , so I just had to take photos that day. It's so funny as my granddaughter's asked me to draw Emus so this blackbird is a character in the Pictorial book! I wanted so much to draw there and then but didn't have my sketch book so took photos and this week he is in my sketch book bless all birds of every kind!

Pencil drawing of a black bird that happened to fly over and posed! It was rather strange too as one hardly ever sees a Black bird flying over the beach but this one was rather tame so maybe it was the light-house keepers bird!
