Why thankyou David, I have just returned to painting today as we have been rather busy with family. Trees do inspire so dabbled in a kind of experiment painting vertical lines.... Will see what eventuates next as trees kind of spur new insight!

Thankyou Spencer and Coral for your comments on this experimental work. I didn't know at the time but have prepared for some collage studies. It's fascinating creating a theme from an underpainting!

This time I painted upon a yellow background and it kind of brought the tree trunks out but it's just an experiment as am exploring light and shade, blending pigments and vertical line to create a pictorial book. Will see what eventuates....
