Tree of Jewels

Comments

I like this, Angela. Lovely colours.

Gorgeous Angela, poetic!

Magical Angela.

Why thankyou Ellen,Carole and Fiona...I painted this tree after the horrendous bush-fires in 2020 and afterwards when the rainy season arrives new growth sprouts and the burnt embers display sparkles of colourful re-growth all around. It was slow paced as started painting in lemon and then decided to form a burnt umber tree-trunk with jewels of re-growth surrounds..

Painted as an indigenous abstract in Acrylic upon cotton canvas. I started painted lemon and from the base colour painted a tree with mixing and blending crimson, burnt umber, green, and crimson .... It kind of became a bark of fabric as new growth emerges after the bush-fire season and the burnt singed bark gleams with tiny jewels as the sunlight reflects colourful beads upon the tree trunk.
