"The Tale of Gertrude Frog"

Delightful Angela, tells a tale…

Super work Angela.

Love it - tell us more!

Why thankyou Carole, I did draw this picture a while ago for a Comic Art story written ages ago and might continue with the illustrations, but need to format the story....

Many thanks Rikke, It was the first illustration for comic Art and the story is about their tadpole Teebee!

Why thankyou Heather, The story is about a family of frogs and their baby tadpole Teebee who needed a medical examination by Sir Francis Pollywog (a salamander) because their baby's tail failed to shrink and develop into a frog. Its a medical story adapted for children who need an operation based on Amphibian characteristics! At the time our children had collected tadpoles and were watching how tadpoles developed into frogs! Still have the original story but it needs more illustrations as the project came to halt, may search for the earlier drawings and re-structure them.

So cute Angela. She is a very busy frog. Great to hear the story behind it!

This is excellent Angela and a great story line .

Excellent work Angela.

Why thankyou Spencer, Paul and Denise, this comic art pen/ink drawing was fun to portray as at the time our children loved watching the stages of how tadpoles grew into frogs! I enjoyed writing the story but never finished the drawings, found the original illustration and the story-line so might make some adaptations during our winter!

This is great Angela! Lively and fun!

Why thank you Diane, I do enjoy Comic Art at times!

Ha! I love this one. Very well drawn and full of life.

Pen/ink and water-colour pencil drawing of Gertrude frog and Jasper lunging in his hammock. I did sketch a series of Comic Art illustrations for this story and this is the first of twelve in this series.
