"Women Wailing"
Painted from imagination , there had been a drought in Zululand and these women were wailing and sent a plea to the "Rain God" to send rain. I painted the figures upon a dark surface and added bold colours to express their appearances in the hills at night-fall. This is another painting for illustration from a story I wrote about a drought in Zululand titled "A Cry from the Hills" written in 1983.
