This is excellent and really well done Andy.

Very nice indeed

I love pen and ink/wash studies, a good job done here Andrew! Can I just make one small suggestion, as you do ask for critique in your profile … I would just use pure tones on the very far distant landscape/horizon line and leave off the hard lines - you’ve done it great on the other bit! Same applies to the roof and so on… we’re looking for softer edges the further away things are in the distance! Critique, not criticism Andrew.

Meets the challenge well.

Thank you all for your comments, they are much appreciated. Alan, yes I agree with your critique and appreciate the feedback. On the distant hills, I got carried away and put the hard line in without thinking and then instantly regretted it. I'll do better next time :-)

This is a lovely pen and ink drawing Andrew

I like this Andrew; your boat is great too.

Sorry Andrew, I’ve only just seen this. I like the use of the brown ink, it gives it an old fashion sepia look. Great boat, especially the way you have described the textures on the sides. A really good pen & wash Andrew.

Porthdinllaen is a lovely isolated village near Nefyn on the Llyn Peninsula. Spotted this rusting hulk last year so did this from a photograph. Monochrome study in pen and brown ink and ink wash. A5.
