I really like this Andrew , it’s the sort of scene that tends to catch my eye. The paper sound good must get a pad and try it .

I’ve got several of them, the best on the market… I particularly like the tinted paper in some of them. Great job done here anyway!

This brand are may favourite sketchbooks to use also Andrew, and as Alan mentioned all mine are the tinted paper, Ivory I think. Watercolour just does wonderful things when you put it on, I especially like how you can layer it. I like the balance of your painting, the tree on the left is fab.

Great sketch Andrew. I like Stillman and Birn sketchbooks too, I don't think they do larger than about A4 size...or didn't when last I bought one, I'll have to have another look.

Thanks for the kind comments, always appreciated. It was Alan B’s recommendation of S&B pads that made me buy one, and I also used a rigger brush on the dead tree - another recommendation from Alan. :-) This site is great for tips on materials etc.

A super painting again Andrew, and interesting to read about Stillman and Birn sketchbooks... I feel a purchase coming on! 😬
