Nice spacious design. Love the gradient in the sky. Sea and beach well rendered. One of the things I love about your landscapes are the lack of insipid colours. This really has some beef in it.. For me the clouds are a little less successful (particularly at the top above the guls) but I don't think that detracts from a fabulous picture. This your usual size for the 2x1 format?

Staying on the Coastscape theme, this was inspired by a picture taken by my wife on her mobile phone. Nothing particularly unusual about the colour combinations - clouds of flesh tint + alizarin + white, sky has more ceuruleun (?) towards the left and more pthalo towards the right; illuminated grass is raw umber + cadmium red + white; sand in shade is raw umber + flesh tint + burnt umber with touches of mauve ; in sun the sand is just raw umber + red + white and the rippled sand, sky reflections etc are just combinations of all of these.
