Thank you for this Shaun, it will probably need around six months to dry now (!) - but I have enjoyed painting in oils after painting with acrylics for quite a while.

Continuing the series of oil paintings depicting flowers and insects. I filmed this Red Admiral in my garden this October. I decided to paint it on a sunflower using a reference photo I had previously taken of one. This painting is 20cm by 20 cm. on canvas board. (A painting-knife painting like the rest of the series)
