A superb piece, Andrea, it&#39;s so beautifully painted. There&#39;s such a freshness about the scene, and I love the gorgeous palette, the excellent composition and the stunningly elegant feel of the piece.

Hi Graeme, this painting is approximately 50 cms by 40 cms. I am never too sure how long each painting takes because I have work and family commitments which means a lot of starting and stopping, but I would guess it took around 20 to 30 hours. Believe it or not I did leave out a lot of detail, the canal was heaving with watercraft and I simplified the buildings quite a bit too, but you are right - that still left quite a lot of detail to paint!
