Lovely flowers, Andrea. You’ve caught the cellophane and the metal buckets really well too

This really brightens the gallery Andres. I might just go and treat myself to some flowers

Lovely lovely, Andrea. I love florists' buckets. Painted beautifully.

Thank you Katy, I really enjoyed painting that cellophane right at the end! I knew I had to do it really quickly and confidently in ‘one take’ though .. because there is no ‘undo’ button when you are painting! Thanks for commenting Katy, very much appreciated!

Thank you Diana, that’s a lovely comment and what a nice thought too - it’s been a while since we had cut flowers in the house. (Though the garden is full of blooms that I am forbidden to snip!)

Thank you so much Shirley, and many, many congratulations on winning a prize at Patchings. How exciting!

This is gorgeous Andrea. Full of energy, colour and a real treat for us. Beautifully painted, especially the cellophane and buckets. Congratulations on your achievement.

Thank you so much Carole, that’s such a lovely comment to read. I’m so grateful to you for posting it :-)

Excellent Andrea and well done for getting selected

Thank you so much Heather :- ) This was my first painting since the #stayhome campaign started and it’s really made me fall in love with oils (still not the brush cleaning bit though...)

Lovely, beautiful work

Thank you so much Romila, your comment is very much appreciated :-)

(Can't believe I forgot to post this!) It's currently at Patchings 2020. I can’t tell you how delighted I am that it’s been selected for The Artist exhibition! My first lockdown painting – after a period of not painting at all as all our lives and priorities changed. This display of cut flowers in buckets was painted from a reference photo I took in the foyer of a local shop. I went back to oils to do this. A medium I have fallen in love with this Spring.

Andrea Hook
