The Cabbage Patch
A lockdown painting which I seem to have overlooked posting :-0 One of a ‘virtual travel’ series - painted from a previously-taken reference photo. During a visit to Kingston Lacy National Trust, I came across these cabbages in an allotment area in the walled garden and really loved the contrast of the purple and green cabbages in the sunlight. I kept the holes in the leaves too as I felt gave the older cabbages in the front row their character. Oil on canvas board, 10 x 12 inches.
