Excellent result for a first Andre, love the texture you've got on the flower petals, gives them a 3D look. You shouldn't stop with this one.

Thank you ladies for your kind words of encouragement. I must admit I did'nt think I would find a still life so enjoyable, will attempt a few more. By the way , the vase was painted onto tin foil, to give the blurry texture. Again thanks for the nice comments.

Well I haven't done a still life since college years, but this is really good Andre, some good textures and solid painting going on.
