Many thanks everyone, yes the gel pens are worth giving a try, lovely for Xmas cards as they have a good range of glitter and neon among them, I only bought a cheap pack from The Work's to try. The white is gel but I bought 3 of these in a pack from Art Discount some time ago. The image shows up a bit too large on the gallery and it doesn't show any of the black glitter pen on the Holly leaves. ☹️

Ohhh I love gel pen you can get scented ones too ha ha. This is gorgeous.

Another big thanks to you all for your encouraging comments, Come to think of it Jen I have noticed a smell when using the get pens but it's not a nasty smell🙄 and Lew some of the white was painted with gouache, the camera really seems to pick out the white gel pen, it's not quite as bright in the actual painting 😀
