That's just grand, Linda. Sounds like mixed media big time, but you're getting great results. (I'm messing around with Inktense now, and am finding the need for some gouache.)

He certainly does have a very scary look well done Linda

Now that's a proper owl ! Love it Linda.

Super expression and the graphite background is excellent.

Beautiful, Linda - love the mixed media.

Thank you all for your comments, Lewis I find that gouache works well with the inktense.

Beautiful eyes , love the background branches.

Striking. Great use of mixed media and that background sets off scary owl perfectly.

I love those eyes and the beautiful description of the plumage, particularly under the head

He's eyes certainly look frightening, a lovely drawing and painting Linda

That’s reminded me to watch Winterwatch tonight!

He’s gorgeous Linda, not scary at all. The eyes are hypnotic.

I agree with Fiona: he is not scary at all, Linda. Love the mixed media, this is a great WOW!

Love it. Great eyes and expression.

Thank you Annick, Dawn, Diana and David for such generous comments on scary owl, always appreciated Linda 😀

Fiona, Mia and Tony, he did look like this on the image I used except the background was all blues and snowy, it looked beautiful, didn't want to spoil it so opted for bare branches 😁 Diana caught up with Wednesday winter watch last night, will watch Thurs tonight 😀

Very cute. I love owls. Lovely painting.

He's got a great expression Linda, his eyes follow you around! He looks wonderful and I love your trees in the background.

Dorothy, Margaret and Dermot, thank you for your positive comments.
