Another one for those judges, Amanda! They all seem to love loosely painted detail paintings (if you get my drift). This is a very good study - nice colours and free brush work. Good luck with the BBC one.

Do you think so, Thea? Unfortunately I was being economical and it has two failed self portraits on the back. Maybe I shall have another go. All good practice, anyhow.

A variation on the standard self portrait thing, this was done using a mirror (only one, and no smoke). It's a little overworked, but I'm reasonably pleased with it.
