Thank you very much for help with my journey into acrylics Amanda. I love how you blend your colours together, for example the gable and the thatch of the main cottage and the flower bed. Super!

Thank you, Fiona. I do hope you are enjoyong your journey. Re. the blending, I am a little embarrased to say that I don't quite know how I do that. I suspect that some of it is rapid brushwork; some a limited(ish) palette and mixing on the fly.

The title is not that of the painting, it is a description. We stayed in the wooden cottage to the left; the owners of the main house, to the right, asked for a picture of both buildings. It's in the Isle of Purbeck (Dorset), and we had a lovely holiday. 14 x 11 inches. Painted with a brush.
