Like this one very much Amanda - recognised your style straight away.

Lovely work Amanda with lovely colours and textures

Thank you, Michael, and Ros. It's nice to know that I have such a distinctive style :-)

Especi ally love your clouds!

You certainly do have a distinctive style - I especially like the tree in this (the main tree, of course): It dominates the painting. That gap or opening in the foreground fence is important, too.

Judith - I like painting couds :-) does it show? Robert - thank you. It's all about that tree, really - it always was. It was the tree that I stopped the car for. ( http://amanda-bates-artist.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/bedwyn-tree-in-yellow-field.html ) And the gap? Invented (like the rails; it was a wire fence) as an invitatiom to the viewer.

I like the perspective and freshness of the colours.

Really beautiful, wish I had your talent

The finished painting, posted as a WIP earlier this week (see http://amanda-bates-artist.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/bedwyns-progress-animated-gif.html for the full set of in-progress shots, animated). I think I'm keeping the approximate geographical name, although "Sentinel" and "Shade for the Traveller" have been suggested. Red shadows derive from the impact of the underpainting.
