A striking picture Amanda. Love this one.

They will last a lot longer than the real thing Amanda.

The painting is more than adequate though. It's beautifully done, I love the super use of lines, marks and delicate tints, which brings out so effectively the ephemeral qualities of the flower.

I think the inadequate paper makes this painting Amanda and gives it a lovely soft, loose effect.

Thank you, all. That's an interesting thought, Christine. (I shall have to try a similar approach on better paper and see what happens).

I got bought flowers. I made pictures of them... this is the most recent, and one of my favourites. Sepia acrylic ink / dip pen and watercolour (= line and wash!) on inadequate paper - although I'm not sure that you can tell about the paper. The watercolours were violet, yellow ochre and Hooker's green.
