When moving into our new home 5 years ago , a wall facing the bottom of the main stairs at the living room entrance was crying out for something. A calendar photograph was the inspiration for the painting, with the horizon line close to the snow line and summit. Individual trees are not picked out but canopies are suggested with variation in color in the foreground.
