'When the Leaves Start To Turn, Penrose' Acrylic on cradled board, 25x20cm
The Penrose Estate is beautiful throughout the seasons, but it is glorious as autumn takes hold. I love to capture the tracks bathed in the low, golden sunlight, enclosed by Cornish Hedges, meandering through the hillsides towards the sea. The leaves were just succumbing to the season & the low sun threw long shadows on the rough farm track. I hope you can feel the chill of the November morning being gently warmed by the rising sun and can smell the loamy earth as you imagine walking down this stony path.
