Sea Sparkling Light, Porthleven
This oil painting (42 x 29.5cm) was painted on a piece of the baulk wood from the sea defences of Porthleven Harbour which were broken in the storms of 2013/14 was sold at auction in March 2017 to raise money for the Fishermen's Mission. It was a fantastic project to be involved with. Artists and craftspeople from near and far were involved and nearly 200 pieces were created raising lots of money for this very worthwhile charity. The piece of the baulk wood that I received to paint on was full of shakes, texture and character. I couldn't help but choose to paint beautiful Porthleven in all it's glory!
