60x40cm Acrylic on linen. One of my favourite places near where I live in Cornwall is The Penrose Estate. I can often be found walking around this beautiful area, sketchbook in hand! I was walking up a wooded pathway on the estate when there was a gap in the trees and this amazing view opened out before me. wanted to capture the textures of the early spring trees and foliage and the beautiful colours and sense of scale. I loved the way the trees either side framed the view and it almost looked like a theatre set!
