First of all, welcome back to the Gallery, and thanks for this painting and all the art videos on Youtube. And secondly - 'ang on.... If you were 11 in 1940, that means you were born in 1929..... and I remember you telling us, about a year ago, that you were 80. Now look - maths never was my strong point, but if you were born in 1929, that makes you 87 nearly. Are you really 86/87??? If you are, how on earth do you do all those videos and so many paintings? I'm blowed if I could, and I'm only 65! Mind you, I was a year out in a blog post the other day, thinking it was 2015 instead of '16, so waddo I know....?

Good to see your paintings again Alan. Like this a lot.

Welcome back alan and a nice seasonal scene for us to enjoy.

yes my maths is terrible ,,, 1932 I have hundreds of paintings done over many years . I have been painting all my life in work and as hobby ,I can not remember when I did not have a brush of some sort in my hand from being ten ,when the yanks shifted out my way while I paint ed wigan pier they were busy snogging their factory girl friends ..do you remember the kids all asking ""got any gum chum"" I remember when the shop under the empress cinema got some toffee in . the cue was miles long,, I had two pegs to play with as a kid and would cross them to make an air plane ,,, you,ve never had it so good believe me ..

Hi Alan nice to see your work again , as for your age your as young as you feel . you really are marvellous though Alan in you eighties and producing paintings like this , I salute you.

Wonderful to see your work again, Alan. A superb piece, stunning in its simplicity, clarity and atmosphere.

Alan, it's wonderful to see you posting again, we've missed you! It's a delight to see you super snow scenes, I hope you will treat us to more!

Alan, it's a pleasure to see your stuff on the Gallery again. I too vaguely (most memories are vague these days) remember the Yanks but let's not dwell on this age thing - I think you're as old as you feel. On which basis I shall be 120 later in the year! Keep 'em coming. Best wishes, Terry
