i like the trees in the background....chris

I agree, the tree line works really well.

Lovely feeling on this painting Alan. The beauty of watercolour........... well handled.

Nice balance of warm to cool colours, and well executed transition from the foreground to the treeline. Fresh and spontaneous.

Lovely - letting the watercolour speak for itself.

A man after my own heart, lvely, loose and fun. A picture to enjoy.

P S. Its my pics that are loose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad I caught this before it dropped off the end of the page ! I really like your style, lovely and loose and semi abstract. Beautiful colours too, you certainly know how to handle watercolour.

This looks likes it was fun to paint and is envigourating to look at. Nice colours, clever use of them. :)

Just how the meadows not yet cut are looking today - full of movement and colour

Nice, fresh and lively painting, like it.

It's late here in Oz so I'm commenting on this batch and will be back to view the rest...all the painting in this portfolio are so beautiful and all so different...they all look so spontaneous and fresh to me

Love everything about this. I can tell from this painting how you felt about this scene and that is what a painting should tell the viewer in my opinion. I can just imagine how it must have been to be standing in that country field. Well done indeed.

Watercolour 16x12 from an idea I had while waking the banks of the Thames and the meadows of the historic site of Runnymede.
